Fred Witham

Hello! And welcome to my website. Here you will find details of my past and present research, as well as publication details. I am a research associate at the department of earth sciences in Bristol, and am part of a NERC funded team investigating the mechanisms of persistent degassing at active volcanoes. We hope to integrate models of convection and degassing processes with experimental petrology and remote sensing of volcanic gases in order to better improve our understanding, and better facilitate hazard assessment and mitigation.
