Bristol Fashion Folk Dancers

Introduction

Bristol Fashion performed social dances drawn from traditional, Playford style and contempory dance collections and English, Welsh and American sources. We practiced between September and June at the Trust Hall, Stoke Gifford, Bristol, England, from 8.00 p.m. onwards and appeared at festivals, fetes and out on the streets, busking.

In addition, we had group holidays (the Loire Valley last time around), social events and lots of fun!

Here, you can see some of the team practising up at the Whitby Festival.

Bristol Fashion were an affiliated club of the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS).

You can find out about some other local folk activities through the Hobgoblin Newsletter.

Have a look at the Bristol Jack in the Green page.

If there are any terms you don't understand, then go and have a look in The Folk File: A Folkie’s Dictionary (I can't be bothered to put links in from every word!!).
