Keith R. Hallam - My Appearance on "World of Sport"

Introduction

I was at the finish of the RAC Rally, in Bath, in 1983. I remember seeing myself on "World of Sport" at the time. Last night (actually, early this morning), flicking around the channels, I came across a five minute summary of the rally and managed to video the bit with my first 0.5 seconds of fame. And now, this coverage is available for all of you to see!! I've also included a still from the video so you can see me more clearly, though I went and messed up my captured still, so this has come from my original .avi capture (I've written over the original video tape). I am the one person in the crowd not looking at the drivers as they clamber on to their car's bonnet ready to spray the champagne - the film in my camera had just run out and I was desparately trying to get a new film loaded before they drove off again. I then had to protect the insides of my camera as they sprayed the champagne over us. It was Stig Blomquist (sp?) who won, in his Audi Quattro, for the record.
